A 15 minute walk from the east exit of Yamagata Station.
By
Bus
From Yamagata station it’s a 5 minute bus ride. Take buses heading to Tendo or
Yamadera. Get off at Bijutsukan Mae and it’s a 3 minute walk to the museum.
From Yamagata city centre it’s a 20 minute bus ride on the \100 Bus which runs every
15 minutes. Get off at Kajo Koen (in front of Otekan Paruzu) and it’s a 4 minute walk to
the museum.

Car
From Yamagata Jidoshado expressway, take the Yamagata Zao interchange exit;
it’s a 15 minute drive.
* Free parking is available on the north side of the museum.
* Paid parking is available below the museum in Ote Machi Parking lot, accessed from
the south side of the museum.
